How MinkMap collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

MinkMap Inc. takes your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need to operate the service, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t track you for advertising. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and your rights over it.

MinkMap is not intended for users under 18. If you are under 18, do not create an account or submit any personal information.

What we collect

• Crash reports and error data

Payment metadata

• Billing records processed via Stripe (e.g., transaction IDs, last four digits of card)
• We do not store your full card number, CVV, or complete payment details — Stripe handles this directly and is PCI-DSS compliant

Support communications

• Messages you send to our support team

What we don't do with your data

We are explicit about this because it matters:

• We do not use your data for marketing or advertising
• We do not build behavioral profiles
• We do not sell your data to advertising networks, social platforms, or data brokers
• We do not use third-party tracking pixels or cross-site tracking tools

We share your data only with the vendors necessary to operate the service, and only to the extent required:

When retention periods expire, data is deleted or anonymized. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting [e-mail].

• Passwords and credentials are hashed — we never store them in plain text
• Access to production systems and user data is restricted by role-based access controls
• We conduct periodic reviews of access permissions

Cookies and tracking

MinkMap uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.

The MinkMap web app may use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication and app functionality. These are not used for tracking or advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version number and effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or in-app notice.

Continued use of MinkMap after updates take effect indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
