MinkMap is a developer tool. It exists to help you test, debug, and verify GPS behavior in the apps you build — not to gain an unfair advantage in games, manipulate people on social platforms, or circumvent geographic restrictions. This page explains the line clearly.
MinkMap is not affiliated with Apple, Google, or any third-party platform. We have no control over how those platforms respond to location simulation, and we cannot be held responsible for any consequences — including account bans, app rejections, or service restrictions — that result from your use of MinkMap with their services.

What you can use MinkMap for

These are the purposes MinkMap is designed and licensed for:
If you’re building an app that uses location services, MinkMap lets you simulate being anywhere in the world without physically traveling there. You can test edge cases, verify map rendering, and confirm your app behaves correctly at specific coordinates — all from your browser.
Quality assurance on location-based features is time-consuming and hard to reproduce consistently. MinkMap lets your QA team set precise coordinates on demand, reproduce location-specific bugs, and validate fixes without needing devices in different cities.
If you’re researching how apps handle location data — what they transmit, when, and to whom — MinkMap lets you observe that behavior under controlled, simulated conditions. This kind of research is legitimate and valuable.
Running a demo of a location-aware feature? Need a predictable, repeatable location state for your development or testing environment? MinkMap supports legitimate use as part of a professional development workflow.

What you cannot use MinkMap for

The following uses are prohibited under the Terms of Service and will result in account action.
Using MinkMap to spoof your location in games like Pokémon GO, Ingress, or any other location-based game is prohibited. This includes catching Pokémon in areas you’re not physically in, completing location-based challenges remotely, or gaining any game advantage through simulated movement.
You must not use MinkMap to misrepresent your location on dating apps, social networks, or any platform where location is used to connect with or influence other people. This includes faking proximity, appearing in a different city, or deceiving others about where you are.
MinkMap must not be used to circumvent geographic content restrictions on streaming services, e-commerce platforms, or any other service that restricts access based on location. This includes accessing region-locked content, prices, or services that you would not otherwise be entitled to.
You must not use MinkMap to deceive anyone for financial gain — including misrepresenting your location to obtain insurance payouts, qualify for location-based discounts, fulfill delivery or logistics contracts you’re not actually performing, or commit any form of fraud.
Using MinkMap may violate the Terms of Service of Apple, Google, or any other platform or service. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the rules of any platform you interact with. MinkMap Inc. bears no liability for violations of third-party terms.
You must not use MinkMap for any purpose that violates applicable law — including but not limited to fraud, stalking, harassment, unauthorized access to computer systems, or evasion of legal obligations tied to your physical location.
Violating this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension without a refund, permanent termination of your account, and legal action where applicable. We take misuse seriously and will act on credible reports.
